At RACHP School we wish to offer 4 days training with day 5 for theory and practical examination in our F - Gas 2079 Cat 1.
The course will be delivered as morning sessions learning theory and afternoon sessions carrying out practical tasks such as recovering refrigerant from systems, removing a section, carrying out a braze with flared connections, pressure testing, vacuuming system, recharging and recording on services sheets including sub-cooling and superheat measurements. This is a safe handling of refrigerants course so correct purge process will be taught.
The theory exam is a closed book 80 minute online exam which requires a 60% (24 correct answers) pass mark.
This qualifications allows engineers to legally work on refrigeration systems under the EC 842/2006 F-Gas regulations.
* Digital pens / reusable paper and full study material will be provide, and homework will be expected to be completed each night.
** FULL PPE will be a requirement under the health and safety at work act 1974 although we can provide certain pieces we hold in house.

**** This is a qualification designed for experienced workers, it is not entry level qualification. It is desirable that candidates would have gained an existing qualification or possess significant equivalent experience in the sector. Without evidence of formal qualifications, candidates must be able to demonstrate adequate prior knowledge and experience to ensure they have the potential to successfully gain the qualification[s].
