At RACHP School we wish to offer 7 days training in our F - Gas 2079 Cat 1. Even though this is an entry level qualification, It is an extremely hard course both to deliver, and for students to soak up. We believe the extra 2 days will be beneficial simply due to pressures of home life, plus the fact that "going back to school" for many is a hard task in itself to get back into that studying mode mentally.
We feel 7 days will give us more time to delve just that little bit deeper, understand the process in a more relaxed fashion and really help to implant that knowledge.
The course will be delivered as morning sessions learning theory and afternoon sessions carrying out practical tasks such as recovering refrigerant from systems, removing a section, carrying out a braze with flared connections, pressure testing, vacuuming system, recharging and recording on services sheets including subcooling and superheat measurements. This is a safe handling of refrigerants course so correct purge process will be taught.
The theory exam is a closed book 80 minute online exam which requires a 60% (24 correct answers) pass mark.
This qualifications allows engineers to legally work on refrigeration systems under the EC 842/2006 F-Gas regulations.
*** It is a requirement that engineers have prior basic understanding of a refrigerated circuit and either working for or towards a refrigeration career.
Pens, paperwork and full study material will be provide, and homework will be expected to be completed each night.
FULL PPE will be a requirement under the health and safety at work act 1974
COST inclusive of registration and certificate £1100.00 plus VAT
