Our 3-day unaccredited short course prepares you for the F-Gas 2079 qualification.
What is covered on this course?
- Basic understanding of refrigeration and air conditioning systems: this includes knowledge of components, circuits, and operating principles.
- Familiarity with refrigerant types and properties: understanding the different types of refrigerants, their environmental impact, and safe handling practices.
- Knowledge of safety regulations: familiarity with safety regulations related to refrigeration and air conditioning, including those pertaining to refrigerant handling and disposal.
- Basic electrical knowledge: understanding electrical circuits, components, and safety practices.
- Health & Safety Regulations.
- S.I Units.
- Basic understanding of thermodynamics and p-h charts.
- Understanding the Pressure/Temperature relationship.
- Gas Laws.
- Tooling / Brazing.
- Practical elements like Vacuum, charging and recovering on a live refrigeration unit.
NOTES:
Digital pens/reusable paper and full study material will be provided and homework will be expected to be completed each night.
FULL PPE will be a requirement under the health and safety at work act 1974 and will be provided for this short course. LONG SLEEVED POLO TOPS, TROUSERS AND STEEL TOE WORK SHOES WILL BE REQUIRED ON THE LAST DAY.
